Join the Town of Dedham and the Military Friends Foundation on Friday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m. for a powerful evening of remembrance at Barnes Memorial Park.
As our community marks the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we’ll come together to honor the victims, the first responders, and the families forever impacted by that fateful day. The ceremony will include a reading of the names of Massachusetts residents lost on 9/11 and will bring together military families, veterans, first responders, local officials, and neighbors for a moment of reflection.
At 8:00 p.m., two beams of light will rise into the night sky, inspired by New York City’s iconic “Tribute in Light,” shining as a symbol of remembrance and unity.
Also featured will be personalized Hero Markers for every Massachusetts service member fallen since 9/11, along with 2,977 American flags representing each victim of the attacks.
Community members attending are encouraged to support the Dedham Food Pantry as part of the National Day of Service and Remembrance by bringing shelf-stable or personal care items (non-expired).
Parking is available at the American Legion, VFW Post, and Dedham Middle School, with Dedham Police onsite to assist.
Let’s stand together in remembrance.
