Massachusetts National Guard Members Run Army Ten Miler with Team Military Friends
October 13, 2019/Washington DC – Massachusetts Army National Guard soldiers ran the Army Ten Miler as part of Team Military Friends. The runners honored fallen service members during the race October
Military Friends Foundation, established after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, provides direct financial grants and community empowerment events to support Warriors and their families. Runners who joined Team Military Friends carried the name of a fallen service member on their shirt.
The Army Ten Miler is in its 35th year and attracts over 30,000 runners and 900 teams from around the world. Participants included service members, veterans, wounded warriors, and wheelchair athletes. The mission of the race is to support Army outreach, build morale, and promote physical fitness.
