Warrior Travel

Each year, Military Friends Foundation is honored to provide travel support to deployed Massachusetts service members through our Warrior Travel Grant program.

This unique initiative offers the opportunity for military personnel to reunite with loved ones for surprise homecomings, birth of babies, or other special occasions that strengthen the bonds between Service Members and their families. Whether it’s a final embrace before a long mission or a joyful return no one saw coming, these moments matter—and we’re proud to help make them happen.

If you are a Massachusetts Service Member seeking travel assistance, please complete the application form below. Grants are awarded based on available funding and grants typically are awarded in amounts up to $500.

Important:
Applications must be submitted prior to travel in order to be considered. All travel must be authorized by your by your Chain of Command, either through an email confirmation or an official memo.

Grants through this program are part of our outreach grants celebrating and honoring military families. Please share a testimonial about why you are seeking travel (i.e. last visit home before deployment, surprise homecoming, visit for the holidays etc) and what this grant would me to you. Please let us know if this is a surprise homecoming/visit if we can work with you to share your story with local media outlets. If you are selected for a Warrior Travel grant we will share this testimonial with our supporters who have made your travel possible.
