METHUEN/February 2019 – By Hometown Sports Michael Muldoon/Eagle Tribune – Neil Sheehan of Methuen is running the Boston Marathon and raising money for the Military Friends Foundation.

The former Central Catholic (CCHS ‘14) and Salve Regina University runner said, “I was very proud to have the opportunity to run the marathon with a military charity like the Military Friends Foundation. My cousin, Captain Mike Sheehan, is a West Point graduate and someone who completed multiple tours in Afghanistan so the idea of supporting military families in need really hit home.

“The charity provides aid to military families that face hardship following their family member’s service, including gold star families. 

“It only makes sense that I do it to benefit the veterans that make these opportunities possible. I am on my way to meeting my $8,500 goal, but I have a ways to go and would like to surpass my goal to provide as much as I can for the great foundation.”
