December 2020 – This year due to COVID-19, Families of the Fallen Servicemembers will not be able to gather together in the State House for the annual Massachusetts Gold Star Families Tree Ceremony. In collaboration with the Office of the Governor, Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services, USS Constitution, and Encore Resorts, Military Friends Foundation will be presenting a special virtual experience for the 9th annual tree dedication that will premier on our Facebook page on Tuesday, December 15th. 

Ornaments from years past will be displayed on the tree. Families of the Fallen are invited you to submit a photo of your loved one at the link below through December 24th. https://militaryfriends.wufoo.com/forms/qbj693y1c1v0hs/ Each ornament will be added to the tree.

A tree will be displaying the ornaments beginning Monday morning, December 14th through December 31st at Encore Resorts in Everett adjacent to the main lobby and next to the Garden Cafe. Visitors are welcome to view the tree. Masks and social distancing are required at all times. Parking is free and the resort is open 9am-9pm.
