DECEMBER 30/The Gold Star Mothers of Massachusetts, Gold Star Wives of Greater Boston and Military Friends Foundation are collecting new clothing items to assist the family of Fallen Marine LCpl Walter O’Haire after a fire destroyed their Rockland home yesterday.  LCpl O’Haire who was killed in action in Iraq on May 9, 2007.  Walter’s mother Maureen and relatives living in the home lost all of their possession in the fire and their house is currently uninhabitable.

Please call (617) 899-4489 or 1-84-HELP-VETS to arrange a clothing pick-up or for more information.  Anyone wishing drop off a a donation can do so at anytime anytime at Rockland State Representative David DeCoste’s State House office, Room 236, in Boston or on January 3rd from 3-6pm at Scoreboard Sports Bar and Grill in Woburn.  Additional drop-off locations will be posted here shortly.

No monetary donations are being collected through the clothing drive.

*Items that are donated that the family is unable to use will be donated to programs supporting homeless veterans and veterans in need at the O’Haire’s family request
