November 30, 2016/Boston – For many military families, their lives are drastically changed when a family member is away serving their country. Established in 2003, Military Friends Foundation was created as an independent non-profit organization. Their mission is to assist Guard, Reserve and Families of the Fallen facing financial hardships related to deployment or extended activation. To date, the organization has provided over $1 million in grants and services throughout Massachusetts. Currently, Military Friends Foundation is collecting donations to reach their goal of sending 250 holiday care packages to local troops overseas.

That’s why, from November 1-18th, we came together with the community to collect donations at our 200 State Street Store. We saw lots of friendly faces, all supporting Military Friends Foundation. Many of them, volunteering to put together 500 care packages to send to service members overseas in partnership with the Boston Celtics and the Military Friends Foundation. Thanks to local support and a grant from the TD Charitable Foundation, we raised a total of $5,095.72. Now Military Friends Foundation can send a little piece of home to the men and women protecting our country.
