Veterans Day 2013 – Operation Santa Supporting Our Military Families
Dear Friends,
Today we thank all of those who have worn the uniform for their service and sacrifices made on behalf of this great Nation. We also recognize the families who have shared their Heroes with us and faced their own battles here at home with strength and courage.
We are reminded of the words of President John F. Kennedy, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
This Veterans Day, the Military Friends Foundation is proud to announce we are again partnering with the Ahern Family Charitable Foundation to support the Operation Santa-Massachusetts program.
Join us on December 14, 2013 at 2pm at the Scoreboard Sports Bar and Grill in Woburn for the 10th Annual Army-Navy Football Luncheon. The event supports Operation Santa-Massachusetts, collaboration with Military Friends to provide gift cards to Massachusetts children of deployed Citizen Service Members, Wounded Veterans and Fallen Heroes this holiday season. The family friendly luncheon showcases the 114th Army Navy Football Game and also includes auctions, a raffle, buffet lunch, visit with Santa and face painting for kids. This year Medal of Honor Recipient Captain Thomas Hudner will be on-hand at the luncheon along with emcee Matt Noyes as well as WKLB morning hosts JW and Lori Grande, Comedian Dave Russo, WROR/WTKK personality Hank Morse, Magic 106.7 host Tina Gao, and others.
